When pre-wiring a home, it's a good idea to talk about where you want the phone and cable lines. You should have more then one line for cable ,phone and network in all rooms for your convenience.
If installing cameras, the driveway is a good place to start and the back yard.
If you have a pool you might want to have an outside phone jack installed.
Have a deck? Install outside speakers for enjoyment at parties.
